Grow your Own Food Menu

We’re looking for menu submissions to our Grow Your Own Menu competition. 

What?

Tenants are invited to join forces in teams of 3-5 people and submit a menu for a meal made from home grown fruit and vegetables.

We’ll pick a shortlist of  FIVE menus and those teams will recieve their own raised planter (to put either outside their building or in another spot on the park) from which they will get a budget of £50 to spend on bulbs and seeds to GROW their menu 

How?

Once we have selected our shortlist, we’ll provide planters and budgets in Spring, we’ll then aim to judge the winners late in the year. 

The winning planter’s team will win a prize of £1000! 

Email menus to hub@quorumpark.com before Monday 31st October to be shortlisted. 

Why?

We’re passionate about promoting the social, environmental and cost benefits of grow your own, our allotment space has thrived in 2022 but we’re keen to find ways to engage with staff who might not have time to visit the allotment space regularly. 

With this competition we bring the allotment to you. We’re also big on pop up street food so it seemed a natural fit to encourage people to engage by connecting with interesting food choices. 

We ask that along with the menu you submit a short paragraph about why as a team you’ve chosen the food choices on there. 

Do you have a personal connection to the meal, is it connected to a team members heritage, have you researched companion plants make the planter look amazing for extra points! 

When? 

Planters will be delivered in early Spring and teams have until the end of August to submit their finished entry – we realise not all planters will at their best at the same time so we will allow for different completition dates – you just tell us when you’re ready for judging. 

Then we’ll annouce the winner at a harvest celebration event at the end of summer.
