Becca Brighty helps employees discover long term workplace happiness and success through organisational psychology and confidence and resilience coaching.
Back in March we offered free coaching for those who had career goals they wanted to work on, this time the focus is on neurodiversity.

 

Whether you have a diagnosis or are interested to explore how your brain maybe works differently to others, you are welcome to book a session.

 

On 1st and 22nd September, we’ll have free 60 minute coaching sessions where you can talk through your own specific goals and obstacles and get advice, support and guidance from Becca Brighty MSc, MBPsS Organisational Psychologist and Coach, who was recently diagnosed with ADHD.

 

Becca is not a specialist in neurodiversity, but she has a good understanding of how individual differences and preferences can impact our performance, and how making a few tweaks can make us feel more confident and empowered in the workplace. After one hour you will leave with deeper understanding of yourself and an action plan to help you achieve your potential.

In order to make the most of your 60 minute session, the booking form includes a text box to fill in details in advance about a specific goal you might have in mind to discuss.

Becca has provided some more info below on the benefits of one to one coaching and a breakdown of how sessions will take place.

 

What is coaching?

Coaching is a process that creates new ways of being, doing and thinking. The process is designed to raise awareness and responsibility to unlock potential, help people get “unstuck” and maximise performance.

 

How does it work?

Coaches ask questions and conduct activities with you that help you to define your goals and create effective action plans on how to achieve them in a way that aligns with your; strengths, values, preferences, schedule, drivers etc.

 

What type of people attend coaching?

Put simply, there isn’t a “type”. I have had clients who are CTOs, students, marketing assistants, directors, account managers, psychologists, unemployed, HR managers, accountants etc etc, ranging in age from 14-72. Anyone who feels that they are not achieving their potential in any area of their life will benefit from a coaching session with a good coach.

 

What will we talk about?

Whatever you want to talk about. I am a business mindset and career coach, so I mainly help people achieve their potential at work. But invariably, people end up talking about non-work topics too, because people are people. You can’t separate an “employee” from the person. Work factors will affect your personal life and personal things will impact your work- c’est la vie.

 

Who shouldn’t do coaching?

If you do not want to invest energy into your personal development, coaching is not for you.
If you want someone to just tell you what to do.
Coaching is a collaborative process designed to raise self-awareness.
As coaches we firmly believe (and have tons of evidence to prove) that you are the expert on you and you hold the solution to all of your problems.

 

You want someone else to change.
Coaching is about you and the changes you want to make.
Yes, I have worked with lots of people who have wanted to change the behaviour of another person, but the solution usually starts with them changing how they are approaching a situation.

 

What makes me a great coach?

I am very experienced in helping people do better work, take control of their careers and feel happier and more fulfilled at work.

 

Aside from being an Organisational Psychologist and accredited Business Coach with ADHD, I am passionate about helping people to be happy and brilliant at work. For many years I was thoroughly miserable at work (and as a result, also at home) and had terrible imposter syndrome and didn’t know how my ADHD was impacting my life, also, as someone who has suffered with anxiety for the past 15 years, I know that sometimes, mind over matter is not realistic. Coaching has given me the tools and self-awareness to be able to do what I love and am great at every day. I love being able to help other people achieve that.
