Mental Health First Aid Training

As part of our Q Learning program we have secured a fantastic price for Quorum staff for this Public Health England approved course.

The course is for 8 – 16 participants and is a good option for tenants looking to put 1 or 2 members of staff on the course.

The MHFA course is very interactive, and there is a lot to take in, which is why 2 consecutive full days is the best option for delivery.

The course provided by Clare Blunt at Venture Zero. Clare has over 25 years of experience working in the mental health sector. Through her work, Clare has supported businesses to better understand the mental health needs of their people and to develop a culture where people feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work. She is also an approved Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

Cost - £175pp

What is Mental Health First Aid Training?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training gives people at all levels the tools to manage their wellbeing at work and home, and to support others when needed. We teach people to spot the signs of mental health issues, how to respond in a crisis, and how to reach out before a crisis happens.

What it involves:

  • An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing.

  • Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of a range of mental health issues.

  • Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress using the Mental Health First Aid action plan.

  • Enhanced interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge to help someone recover by guiding them to further support.

  • Take away a hard copy of the course workbook.

  • Be part of the largest MHFAider® community in England, gaining access to resources, ongoing learning and 24/7 digital support through our MHFAider Support App®

  • A Three- year Certification from Mental Health First Aid England.
