Barclay’s Workplace Banking and Quorum Hub joined forces to host a Carers Forum in early June.
Representatives from Newcastle Citizens Advice Bureau, Carers Association, Mental Health Concerns, Age UK and Relative Experience were all on hand offering help and support to carers who work within Quorum
Barclays also offered advice on support on the different options when faced with supporting a family member or friend with money and day to day banking
The event was held at the Quorum Retail over lunch time, refreshments were provided along with various goody bags and info packs. Barclays Community Manager, Jan Prater was delighted with the turn out ‘we realized that the people who most need help and advice about being a carer are those with the least amount of time available to them – by hosting this event within the business park we are bringing much need help straight to them’
Events Manager, Laura Barber said ‘it’s great to see that we’ve also had visits from HR Representatives from across the park – this is the first step in coordinating a park wide support network for carer working within Quorum’
