Celebrating the women accelerating action at Quorum Park

Michelle, Nicola and Andi - our International Women’s Day winners!

Although International Women’s Day 2025 has been and gone, the work goes on year-round to accelerate action towards gender parity – at Quorum Park and beyond. And part of that is celebrating the inspirational women working right here on site. We recently asked for your nominations for our special International Women’s Day Giveaway – and it’s our pleasure to introduce you to its winners, three very special women making a significant impact within our park community!

First up is Michelle Richards, a Field Scheduling Specialist at Verisure, whose nominee told us she is a “true leader”.

They said: “Michelle doesn't just do her job – she elevates everyone around her. Her leadership, expertise, and passion for what she does make her a key player in the company's growth and she is a true champion for the team.

“Michelle's impact on those around her is undeniable. She leads by example, bringing positivity, dedication, and a problem-solving attitude that inspires her team every day. Her ability to uplift and support her colleagues creates a work environment in which everyone feels valued and motivated to do their best.

“An invaluable asset, she started from the ground up in a customer support role, and has worked tirelessly to grow, learn, and refine her skills. Her dedication and unwavering support for her colleagues set her apart, ensuring not only that operations run smoothly but that those around her are efficient, empowered and always striving for excellence. Her ability to navigate challenges with grace and her commitment to teamwork make a lasting impact because she is not just a team player – she's a mentor, and a source of strength.

“Whether it's offering guidance, stepping in to help when challenges arise, or simply encouraging others to push forward, Michelle's presence makes a real difference. Her passion for her work is contagious and she doesn't just contribute to the team – she transforms it!"

Along with the other two ladies featured here, Michelle has been given a hamper of goodies from all of us at Quorum Park, to thank her for being the trailblazer she is.

Admiration for Andi

Next up is Support and Service Director at National Utility Hub, Andi Wood, whose nominee explained: “In an industry often dominated by men, Andi has progressed through job roles within National Utility Hub and joined our board of directors at the beginning of 2025.

“Having started with us four years ago in a front-facing sales role, Andi doesn't get caught up only in talk of equal opportunities, but sets goals, works hard, and puts herself in the best possible position to succeed.

“Through her hard work, dedication and razor-sharp focus on her own ambitions, she has progressed through the ranks and this effort rubs off on all other employees, proving hard work and determination are what matters most.”

We hope Andi enjoys her well-deserved hamper, along with our admiration!

Neighbourly Nicola

The last but not least of our winners is Nicola Walker, an administrator at Gleeds, whose nomination reads: “Nicola has become indispensable to the running of our office as it has expanded over recent years. As well as excelling in her day job as the right-hand to our directors, she has embraced the role of Social Value Champion to facilitate our team’s support for local charities and foodbanks, and co-ordinates efforts to involve other organisations in that from within the construction sector.

“One of these was a ‘Dip and Sip’ event involving people from around 20 organisations, all of whom said that not only would they repeat the experience, but would use it to inspire similar initiatives and events in their own organisations.

“Before Nicola took on this role, there were few events and little engagement with charities, but we now have a highly engaged group of colleagues that participate in regular volunteering days and donation drives.

“Nicola has been a shining light, inspiring our own staff and those of our partner organisations, and has clearly had a significant impact on those people our fundraising supports. She is amazing!"

Changemakers and champions

We received many, many more nominations than just these three incredible examples of women from our community that are creating impact, enhancing inclusivity, and pushing themselves and others forward in order to innovate and achieve equity.

Thank you to everyone involved in assembling our giveaway hampers, and to all those that took the time to recognise a colleague. We were deeply moved by the responses we received to our appeal for nominations, and are privileged that so many inspiring women work amongst us at Quorum Park.
