As part of our Doggy Disco event, and to celebrate national Dog day we hosted an online Dog Show!
Thank you to all the pups and owners for entering our Dog Show!
It was a tough choice for the hub team to choose winners for each category, not going to lie!
In our eyes you are all winning pooches, and we hope you got the chance to enjoy they doggy disco.
At Quorum Park, we’re a family friendly bunch, this includes our four-legged friends, be it cats or dogs. (Greggs House even have a resident cat, who loves chilling in reception all day!) We always find when there is a dog presence in the office, it boost staff moral and helps destress. If you don’t believe us, check out this science-backed article about the benefits of dogs in the office here.
Our Doggy Disco event was a new opportunity to invite workers families into the park to give them a taste of life at Quorum, and to raise awareness for our local Dog & Cat Shelter on Benton Lane. With donations from our Local street food vendors, and pet stalls we managed to raise £165.00 on the day!
Take a look at our winners…
Most Awesome Eyes Bella – Lydia Alton (Right move)
Bella is a chocolate lab, she’s 12, and she’s just the funniest, gentlest little soul, with the most expressive eyes (and eyebrows), constantly looking a little concerned about everything. She loves snoozing, snacking, her favourite toy Olyphont, and giving kisses. She’s still like a puppy at heart, but her little grey beard and belly give her age away…. She’s had a few health scares recently including Vestibular Syndrome diagnosed last week, which means she’s all wobbly and walks like she’s drunk at the moment, but she should hopefully recover from this in a few weeks. We love her!!!
Best Hero – Susan McCardle (Greggs)
Jack is a 3 year old border collie, from a rescue centre in Dumfries. He’s brings lots of joy in and has got his family about enjoying the countryside. He’s been working hard on his training, though is more interested in rabbits, squirrels, cats, bikes than anything I have to say to him – typical collie! His favourite thing is running up & down the stairs chasing his squeaky toys. His worst habit is pinching food from the kitchen worktop if it’s left unattended – including a whole goats cheese quiche & 1kg of raw chicken thighs Jack is currently being a hero at home with his mam, by keeping her company instead of his usual countryside walks, whilst she’s on crutches recovering from a broken ankle. What a good boy!
Best Dog – Gracie Steph Pells (Mac Projects)
Gracie is nearly 3 years old and she is the best bulldog in the world. She really enjoys laying down, relaxing in general, being asleep, standing in the paddling pool to cool down, dribbling and panting a lot and being cute in general. She particularly enjoys chewing her mammy’s shoes and trainers! An all-round spectacular dog…We met Gracie last week and can confirm she is just spectacular!
Best Old Soldier Pearl – Kristopher Brunsden (Insure the Box)
Staffy Pearl, 10 years young 😊. Kris rescued Pearl in 2015 when she was around 3 years old, having had a really awful start to life. Despite her troubles, she was the most trusting and loyal pal from the get go. She’s been with Kris through thick and thin, and even adopted a lady together, who is now Kris’s wife! After Pearl gave her approval of course. She’s getting on a little bit now, and is starting to slow a little, but she is still full of life and loves nothing more than diving on your face when you get home and trying to lick you to death. She enjoys treats, scratches, completely ignoring other dogs, and being the undisputed Seal Pig of North Shields.
Best Puppy Axel – Bryony Cox (Contec)
Axel should have been named gnasher! As a pup he’s into everything however he does know little tricks already and has been coming into the quorum office since day 1. He likes his walks around the quorum and to play tug of war with his lead. If you’ve already had the chance to meet him, you’ll know which puppy he is as he throws himself in front of your feet to get belly tickles and who can resist the puppy dog eyes!
Best Rescue Maverick – Lily Allen (Right Move)
Maverick was living in not too good conditions when my partner and me collected him. We were told he was a whippet, that he was aggressive with the dog he was already living with and just simply very badly behaved. Maverick had tiny little scabs on his back legs and some wood in lodged into the very roof of his mouth. All fixed now! As a lurcher he jumps like a kangaroo, eats you out of house and home and is terrified of my two cats! Maverick is the laziest dog I have ever owned! Eventually his original breeders tracked us down and Maverick’s dad is an Irish wolfhound X Greyhound and his mum is a Saluki X Border Collie!
