Plenty planned at Quorum for the young & young at heart! - Quorum Park

Many workplaces forget that lots of their team members work to provide for their family, taking the rather old-fashioned view that children shouldn’t be seen or heard in the working environment.

But you should know by now that’s not how we do things at Quorum Park!

In fact, you’ll be seeing a lot more of the extended members of our park family over the coming months, as we have many family-friendly initiatives in the works.

This Easter was the first in three years to have been unaffected by measures to protect us against the spread of Covid-19. So we wanted to make the most of this lack of restrictions with a family fun day. And we’re so glad we did as it was a huge success!

We wanted to make sure our park’s parents were able to really get involved in some fun stuff with their kids, so we held the day in the middle of the school holidays on April 13th. It proved to be a real family affair, with youngsters of all ages getting stuck into our many activities (more than the grown-ups!), while also getting a feel for a modern workplace and where their parents spend so much time.

The day was so much fun and we’ve had such great feedback that we’ve decided to apply this family-friendly philosophy to even more of our events. Watch this space for multi-generational guided bike rides, summer tennis lessons and even a forest school to help your youngsters embrace nature in the school summer hols.

Claire Lusk, our Events and Sustainability Assistant said: “We understand what a headache it can be for some parents to come up with new and exciting activities for their kids during the long six-week break. And we also understand it can be a wrench having to choose between spending quality time with the kids and work.

“So we hope our plans can go some way towards helping our park’s parents balance this juggling act. Whether members of our community are able to join in, or simply wish to drop their kids off to enjoy our activities while they work nearby, it’s all about providing that little bit of peace of mind to make the holidays less stressful – and more fun for all!”
