A celebration of local street food!
There were an overwhelming number of food options available to staff during our recent food fair!
The local heroes food fair took place around the sports courts over lunchtime and proved very popular with staff.
There was something for everyone with stalls from Fat Hippo Burger Bar, Papa Ganoush, Tandoori Naan Hut, Polish Sausage Co, On the Goa and Casa de Quesadilla to name just a few!
There were also a number of stalls selling fresh produce to take home -The nut Roaster ground nuts into delicious nut butters, while sanity beans sold a variety of flavoured coffee beans from around the world. Jean’s Jams and Fat Lass Preserves had a fantastic selection of jams, chutneys and relishes whilst Harvey’s sausages had a great selection of take home packs of organic sausages.
All guests were welcomed to the event with a complimentary glass of Pimms served by staff from the hub. Everyone was also welcome to enter our free raffle and win a food hamper made up of prizes from our various stalls.
Quorum events manager Laura Barber is looking forward to bring more food events to Quorum later this year. ‘Our pop up food events are definitely the most popular item on the Quorum Events calendar – we always strive to provide a great selection of stalls to cover all tastes and price ranges. Some of our smaller stalls, such as Mexican stall Casa de Quesadilla are actually ran by members of staff who work onsite here at Quorum, plus our big names like Zapatista and the Fat Hippo are always sure to draw in a big crowd. We also felt they fit really well into our Local Heroes theme – as both are independent restaurants booming on the Newcastle restaurant scene”
