Quorum host a bikers breakfast as part of a day of celebrating cycling to work.
Cycle to Work Day is a national event held on 3rd September. It aims to encourage everyone to take to two wheels and cycle to work by bike for at least one day. Quorum are supporting the event alongside a host of Commuter friendly events as part of our Travel Smarter Month.
A free bikers breakfast was offered at the hub, along with info packs and maps to offer route planning assistance. Despite the weathers best efforts, it was a well attended event and its great to see so many cyclists at Quorum Commuter Centre Manager Laura McVittie said ‘We’re delighted with turn out considering the weather, we’ve served over 50 breakfasts and cyclists have reported seeing more cyclists than usual this morning’
Did you know there are 622 cycle parking spaces on the park?
Email Laura.McVittie@quorumbp.co.uk for more info on cycling to work and route and travel advice.
We also have the latest regional cycling maps of the North East, which can be picked up in the hub for free.
