A host of animals great and small entertained Quorum Staff in the event which took place around Quorum Sports Courts.
The event took place to celebrate National Pet Day on Wednesday 11th April. There was a great turn out on the day despite some drily and grey weather conditions. Events took place in both the Q10 building and on a marquee on the grass in front of Quorum sports courts.
Locally based Animal Antics offered a hands on experience with a great selection of pets (both domestic and exotic) these included rabbits, chicks, mice, a snake, a spider and many more.
Local husky sled group, Team Waddell came along and set up within the football courts where everyone was allowed a close encounter with the dogs. The gang consists of 5 huskies, Rottweilder Cross Rolo, Boxer Sox and Roxy the Staffie.
Northumberland Greyhound rescue brought along a selection of successfully adopted dogs and shared information on re homing dogs. Whilst Arnie Bear sold pet themed homewares and gifts. Benton Dog and Cat Shelter promoted their May family fun day and services
Food was served on the day from Spud Gun Loaded fries who produce ‘loaded fries’ home cooked fries with a selection of delicious toppings – including bacon cheese fries and tomato and garlic sauce.
