Quorum Park Awarded Maintaining Excellence Status in BHAWA - Quorum Park

The award marks the teams 5th year on the Better Health at Work Award Scheme.

Quorum Park’s The Hub have been taking part in the Better Health at Work Award since late 2014. This year’s Maintaining Excellence Award was their first to be completed remotely using the schemes online portal.

Quorum Park Events and Community Manager, Laura McGrath said ‘our Better Health at Work Award application has been helping shape the wellbeing agenda onsite for years. I would recommend any company interested in supporting the health and wellness of their workforce takes part in the scheme.

It is comprehensive, covers all important topics and grants access to Best Practice sharing and networking with businesses across the region.

Previous onsite events that stemmed from our BHAWA applications include Fit Feb, our online wellness month in November, various triathlon and cycling challenges as well as our park wide smoking policy and Q Learning programme.

North Tyneside’s BHAWA assessor, Maureen Turner was delighted to see how the team had adapted to new working conditions. “As 70% of staff based within Quorum Business Park businesses are now working from home, it is encouraging to see that The Hub has adapted their working practices to ensure contact is maintained during the pandemic not only with their own staff but that of the wider park.

The Hub’s extremely comprehensive and detailed action plan provides information on initiatives they will be delivering throughout the year, how they will achieve this, their rationale, costs, rag ratings, evaluation and future actions.

Well done to everyone, I look forward to working with you through 2021 and
beyond.

Maureen Turner
