Challengers from across Quorum tackled high winds and even higher hills to take on Tesco Bank Tour O The Borders 2016!
A top class, closed road event which takes riders through stunning scenery on beautiful Borders roads, Tour O The Borders is considered one of the UK’s most scenic bike challenges.
As onsite tenants Tesco Bank were event sponsors, Quorum staff were invited to take enter the race with a discounted entry. A bus of 15 entrants left Quorum at 4.30 in the morning on Sunday 7th August and headed north to Peebles for a 7.30 race start. Race conditions were tough with winds of up to 47mph, but the Quorum crew were tougher and pushed through to finish the event in style.
Entrants were able to choose between two distances 88km & 120km. Upon completion of the event Quorum staff were invited into the Tesco Bank VIP tent to enjoy a complimentary burger and drinks.
