The team at Quorum Park has the whole year in its sights already as the 2022 events programme begins to take shape.
Unlike many office locations, Quorum Park’s packed programme and out of town setting means it’s easy to get out an enjoy the outdoors as part of your working day, and the benefits that come with it – all year round!
Our events and sustainability manager Laura McGrath explained: “Members of our community have told us how important it is for their physical and mental health to be able to be both active and out in nature, and we also know that organisations benefit through increased productivity, engagement and retention.
“So we looked at the kind of things we like to do at home and in our leisure time as inspiration, and #AParkForAllSeasons was born!”
The new concept will help motivate us all to shake off the temptation to be sluggish until spring, seeing seasonal themes underpinning the events and activities taking place in and around Quorum Park throughout 2022, from spring planting to summer bike rides, and pumpkin carving to a whole host of festive fun to lighten the darker days of next winter.
The programme will complement the many options there are to get involved in life beyond your desk at Quorum Park, from enjoying our various walking, cycling and running routes through the park, to trying Nordic walking with us, being part of our rewilding revolution or joining the active wildlife group that helps look after resident bats, squirrels, hedgehogs, foxes, badgers, water voles, ducks, roe deer and rabbits, as well as a variety of birds and bugs, including some that produce our own honey!
More competitive members of the community can sign up to one of our cycling challenges, while those in it just for fun have a variety of giant games such as chess, draughts, Connect 4 and Jenga that are either scattered across the park or can be borrowed from the hub free of charge during summer.
The design team at Drumbeat has also designed a striking logo and colour palette to go alongside the timetable of events, more details of which will be shared with the community soon.
