Raising money for charity
The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.
Since Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity was founded in 1986 they have supported approximately 15,000 families all over England. It all started when Bernadette Cleary, Rainbow Trust’s founder, was a friend to a neighbor in need.
A word from Rainbow Trust’s founder, Bernadette Cleary.
“I am enormously proud of all the fundraisers, Family Support Workers and silent heroes who have made it possible for Rainbow Trust to give every child we support an enhanced quality of life during their illness.
Of course it is the families we help that make Rainbow Trust the special organization that it continues to be; one of the joys of working with children, even in their dying days, is that each day is taken as it comes. They fill each moment with all manner of things; I have played cards, gone Christmas shopping and undertaken whirlwind tours of leisure parks all in the last twenty-four hours of life.”
The Rainbow Trust charity fundraisers came to Quorum and hosted a delicious cake sale outside of Q9 to help raise money for the cause. They managed to raise over £150 so a phenomenal effort and a huge thank you to everyone that purchased a cake!
