We’re very pleased to report that last month’s Virtual Jobs Fair was a great success with over 3,000 candidates taking part in the event.
On July 15th, we hosted our very first Virtual Jobs Fair replacing our traditional in-person event with a new, innovative digital platform allowing employers to engage with prospective tenants during an interactive live session hosted within our website.
The event was hosted in partnership with North Tyneside Employment and Skills and sponsored by our onsite tenant, Verisure.
With over 3,200 page visits, participation in the virtual event was more than double the average attendance of our physical events, which was great to see!
This summer has also seen North Tyneside Council working Jobcentre Plus and Verisure who moved to the Neon building in 2020.
From May to the end of July, there have been four successful programmes delivered across North Tyneside which has recruited and secured guaranteed interviews for all participants with Verisure, as they expand their business within the region.
The programmes have managed to support 9 candidates into being offered full or part time work. The bespoke programme allowed candidates to gain a greater awareness around the qualities, attitudes and behaviours needed to work within this sector. Developing their personal communication skills in addition to working effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
