Tour de France Bike Hub - Quorum Park

with crepes by La Petite Creperie

The line between insanity and genius is said to be a fine one, and in early 20thcentury France, anyone envisaging a near-2,500-km-long cycle race across the country would have been widely viewed as unhinged. Having provoked a mixture of astonishment and admiration, le Tour soon won over the sporting public and the roadside crowds swelled. The French people took to their hearts this unusual event which placed their towns, their countryside and, since 1910, even their mountains, in the spotlight.

At Quorum we encourage cycling to work and host a monthly bicycle workshop and information service. This includes a Bike Hub service in partnership with Sustrans: Route planning information and maps; Bicycle maintenance; Sale of cycling equipment; Second hand bike sales and group Bike Rides.

Inspired by the Tour De France we had the lovely French boys from La Petite Creperie come to serve up some delicious sweet crepes and savoury galettes! They’ve brought a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ to the North East and we can’t wait to have them back soon!
