We can hardly believe the summer has come to end already, after an amazing array of events at Quorum Park.
But rest assured we also have a lot planned for autumn, whatever the weather!
We were thrilled to learn that a number of people have used our popular and packed events programme to help plan their office-based days, with our Doggy Disco in August proving particularly popular, raising £165 for Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter in the process!
We were part of the Big Butterfly Count, enjoyed a season of family-friendly outdoor cinema, had scran sessions from The Fat Hippo, Chicken Little, and The Travelling Spoon, who provided us with sweet and savoury delights galore, and we also welcomed the members of the North East England Chamber of Commerce, which hosted its regular networking session from Q11 last month.
There was also a great turnout for our People and Culture Forum, whose recent sessions have covered resilience and creating a wellbeing culture. Next up from our partners at Brighty People is neurodiversity in the workplace, so sign up at Eventbrite. New members are always welcome.
You all know how passionate we are about animals and our eco-system, so we’re really excited about our forthcoming event, Quorum Wild at the end of September, which will feature falconry, food from local vendors including Lucca Pizza, and Acropolis, and you can even cuddle a snake or take a stroll with an alpaca.
Hot on its heels will be Oktoberfeast, providing free beer, a chance to win a table for four at Newcastle’s Oktoberfest Halloween celebrations, and yummy treats from stalls including Memories of the Black Forest.
We’ll also have our Christmas Market, which is already shaping up to be an extravaganza of festive delights.
Our Events and Sustainability Assistant Claire Lusk said: “From free yoga sessions to get you into your daily flow, to will writing, eco-markets and more, we pride ourselves on providing an incredible programme of events and learning opportunities year-round.
“Whether you’re new to the park community or have been based at Quorum Park for years, we’re open to ideas, and love to see everyone getting involved in the many activities we have to offer. Please do come along.”
To find out what else is coming up for the rest of 2022, follow our Facebook page and look out for the new Quorum app which will launch in late September, making it even easier to keep up to date on our latest news and upcoming events.
