Work out at work with PureGym at Quorum Park - Quorum Park

There are many perks to being part of the Quorum Park community, from on-site childcare that even provides breakfast to-go for our busy parents and guardians, to quality catering, clubs and events galore. But one of our most flexible and popular amenities is provided by PureGym Longbenton, which has been based at Q5 on the park since 2015.

One of six Covid-safe PureGym facilities across the North East, and more than 250 across the UK, you can work out whenever and however you like, supported by friendly staff, with no contract and from as little as £17.99 a month.

Manager James Ryan explains: “We offer 24-hour access to more than 220 pieces of equipment, including prowler track flooring and sledges for a full-body weight-bearing workout, Nordic ski machines and heavy-duty static resistance bikes for sustained intensity –within a large, no-contact and air-conditioned space complete with Wi-Fi.

“Plus, membership, which you can freeze any time, gives you access to more than 50 classes and all other PureGym facilities, so if you’re away for work or leisure, you can still get your heart pumping.”

One in 10 members of the Quorum Park community are members at PureGym Longbenton, but with many people turning their attention to improving their health and fitness as things begin to open up following the Covid-19 pandemic, this is expected to grow, so a deal is being finalised for those that work on the park, whether they’re already a PureGym member, or are joining for the first time.

As part of this, there will also be classes and events exclusively available to those based at Quorum, starting this summer.

Our events and sustainability manager Laura McGrath said: “In our latest community survey, our on-site PureGym received an amazing satisfaction rating of four-and-a-half stars out of five, and we love working with the 12-strong team to complement and broaden our park-wide health and fitness offering, which includes a portable table tennis set and outdoor pitches and courts for football, netball, tennis and basketball, many of which have led to the creation of weekly leagues and annual tournaments among our tenant organisations.

“Not only that, but members of the community can have peace of mind due to PureGym’s TrainSafe Covid policy and cleaning station, and with three or four team members on hand each day, one to one personal training is also available for those looking for more supervision in their fitness journey.”

All the benefits of PureGym membership, such as free parking, discounts on branded merchandise and the chance to host a guest up to four times each month, along with other perks of the park, are all detailed in the new Quorum Park app.
