Get behind “Get into Quorum” & welcome new talent
With more than 9,000 people based at Quorum Park, we’re certainly not short of talent. However, to support changing business needs across the park, we’re partnering with North Tyneside Council’s Employment and Skills service to bring a five-day recruitment event to our vibrant workplace community. And whether tenant organisations are actively recruiting or not, we’d love to ensure all the organisations that make up our incredible community are represented.
Get into Quorum begins on June 24th, putting job seekers and hiring managers in direct contact to ensure both can find exactly what they need.
The programme, which has been inspired by the council’s long-running ‘Get into…’ series of sector-based skills courses, covering industries and environments such as hospitality, care, schools, construction and digital to name a few, will offer job seekers an in-person chance to get in-depth information on the organisations that are part of the Quorum Park community, as well as the kinds of job roles they provide.
If you aren’t already taking part in the event, there’s still time to get involved, and all organisations with a footprint on the park are welcome to take up the opportunity to offer potential new recruits at all levels a glimpse into their culture, current operation, and future plans.
Anyone aged 19+ that is living in the North of Tyne area and has been a UK resident for at least three years is eligible to complete any of the council’s Get into courses, some of which are certified and last up to several weeks.
Our Sustainability and Community Director Laura McGrath said: “The Get into initiative, which has been running for six years, has developed a great reputation, both with those looking for work, and organisations wanting to attract talent to their ranks. And with so much opportunity on the park, we are proud to support both individuals and organisations to find meaningful work with one another on site, whether on a short-term basis, or within a long and fruitful career.”
As well as giving people a useful chance to meet representatives from our resident businesses, Get into Quorum will help applicants to get a feel for what it might be like to be part of our community, equipping them with all the information they will need, as well as the skills required to fill any current vacancies across the park, with pointers as to how best they can tailor their application to specific roles.
