Quorum Dog Show Winners!

Dog shows have long been a cherished tradition, celebrating the elegance, intelligence, and beauty of our canine companions.
Since 2019, the Quorum Dog show has been a part of our events calendar, even when we couldn’t to get into the office during lockdown they brightened up our day with their online presence, with top dogs from offices across the park taking centre stage.

Let's take a look at this year’s winners…

Best Pooch - Bruno

As voted for by you!

My baby boy Bruno, my not-so-little Doberman who turns 7 this October!

He's not just a pet, but a loyal friend, always by my side with an endless supply of love and tail wags. He never fails to make people smile, he is playful, loving, loyal and gentle.. except when he gets his zoomies!

As well as being an absolute little cutie, he is the best at giving snuggles and the best companion to go on little adventures with! - Chloe Bishop, Verisure

Best Dressed - Fox

Age: 3.5 years

Occupation: Volunteer Support Dog / Chief Treat Tester

Breed: Unknown (looks a bit like a corgi!)

Likes: Treats, Belly Rubs, Pubs, Socks, Dancing

Dislikes: Rain, Being Given Half a Treat (he can tell)

About Fox:

Fox is a rescue dog. Unfortunately, he didn't have the best start in life and has problems with his paw - but that doesn't stop him, and he has come a really long way since being rescued!

Fox is very friendly, and he loves to get fuss and attention. His favourite thing to do on a Saturday is to go to Ouseburn for a long walk and visit a few of the pubs!

Fox does have a cheeky side, and (in particular) he loves to steal socks - especially during work calls and meetings....
He volunteers for Wag & Company - they're a lush local charity, and I'd love to mention them in his bio if that gets seen by other dog owners at the event? They always need more volunteers!!

He goes into care homes to provide companionship to the care home residents. - Martha Craven

Best Puppy - Baxter

Meet Baxter our 17 week old minature dachshund.

He loves a tummy tickle, a good chew on your favourite shoe and of course playing with his dino teddy. Baxter is such a loving little pup and can usually be found snuggled up on your lap. Baxters dislikes are going out in the rain and the hoover. The most adorable thing about Baxter is he gets us to tuck him in with his favourite blanket at night. Baxter wont just steel your food, he will steal your heart fast too - Barry Storey, Aioi Nissay Dowa

Best Old Soldier - Tommy

Tommy visited us on the family fun day, and we all fell in love. Thanks for coming to say hello!

Tommy is a Romanian rescue who was brought over at the start of the Covid lockdown. Sadly, like many dogs, Tommy was put up for rescue again when the restrictions were lifted which is where my journey with him began!

Although the rescue centre wasn't 100% sure what Tommy is, they believe he is an Anatolian Shepherd mix. Tommy is a big softie, who loves going to cafes or pubs as he knows he'll get fussed. He has completed changed the opinion of many who meet him who think that 'big dog = scary'.

Although unsure on exact age, Tommy is believed to be 9 or 10. He's a gentle giant and my best friend. - Dean Jones

Best Rescue - Monty

Monty was rescued back in 2020 and is now 4 years old, we believe he was born in the shelter in Romania and came across in August 2020 with his Mum who is now living in Kent.

Monty is a very laid back #romanianrescuedog and is living his best life! Although he does like to scavenge the worktops for food (including the top part of my sandwich recently!)

He has amazing whiskers which he protects fiercely from grooming and uses to the best of his ability to be ever more cute.

He’s protective of his little big’brother Chester (whose 10 and a cocker spaniel) who has one eye and enjoyes playing with his hareem when he goes to #doggydaycare.

Monty entertains the team here at Shared Services with his regular blog sharing his antics with the henniepennies & #nannydaycare.

Monty greets you with a chewed squeaky cuddly toy whenever you return from anywhere and his particular favourite is llammallamma which now has only one ear and no legs! Favourite treat is a crunchy pigs’ ear and likes nothing more than snuggling on the sofa into his fav cushion on his back with legs akimbo after he has eaten it.  - Lynne Bowry-Thompson, Equans

Best Hero - Nancy

We adopted her from Dogs Trust Darlington last October.

She is 6 and Irish and although not fully sure of her history we believe she was used for breeding and discarded when she was no longer needed.

Has the most amazing nature, very chilled, rarely barks unlike my other 2 who could bark at their own shadow.  Loves going to doggy day care one morning a week, and family fight to have her when we go on holiday.

We adopted her after my older dog Polly (12) died suddenly and we need a furry friend for Woody who was (14).

Nancy arrived at the Dogs Trust on the same day as we lost Polly.

She was meant to be our dog as we travelled to Ireland every month to see my Step Son, until he got too busy to hang out with us every month so my rainbow furry baby was meant to become a Geordie girl 😊 - Kâren Tarn, Equans

Not forgetting all the over lovely pooches of Quorum who entered too.
As we celebrate our brilliant four legged-best friends, it’s a reminder of the special bond between humans and dogs, and the joy they bring to our lives.
